Better for the environment
BioDiesel is manufactured from either vegetable or animal oils so the main raw material is fully renewable. When pure 'new' oil is used, the crop growth involved helps absorb CO2 gases. When used oils are used, it helps recycle waste that would otherwise end up in landfill sites.
Because BioDiesel is produced from natural products, it emits lower levels of CO2, SOx and almost all other key emission groups than other fuels. With the development of diesel engines improving all the time, performance levels now either meet or exceed petrol engines so more and more users are benefiting from the improved fuel economy and lower emissions produced by BioDiesel.
